Dr. Dominic Fontana.

I have a lifelong family association with St John’s College. I joined the Lower School in 1967 and left SJC after “O” Levels in 1974. In my working life I have been a railwayman, photographer, historian, archaeologist and academic geographer. I taught in the Geography Department at University of Portsmouth for nearly 25 years. I have been closely involved in the Mary Rose maritime archaeological project for the past 40 years. I am an active broadcaster and have worked on numerous TV films and projects as well as making several podcasts. Currently, I am Chair of the Friends of Quarr Abbey, a Trustee of the Classic Boat Museum in Cowes and a committee member of the OJA.
